Using a narrow stripe fabric which resembles the tulip fields of western Washington and Oregon, I stitched this traditional block format quilt.

The strong diagonal pattern created by the stripe fabric when combined with the bold colors in solid triangles give the piece its name.

 Hand quilted with perle cotton and antique and new buttons

Picking up the colors from this narrow chevron stripe fabric and using them as a key to the other fabrics to include, this piece offers a strong rich statement for home or office.

Pisces: A Triptych (with detail)
58" x 37" Wool with antique buttons

A variety of woolen stars are appliqued onto the blue field to create the galaxy of stars on which the Pisces constellation is outlined in antique buttons.
