Our MissionWe are committed to providing our youths with positive experiences in a team-oriented sport. The game of lacrosse is a way for youths to learn valuable life lessons that allow them to grow into fine young adults. It is not our mission to try to develop every youngster into a college or professional level athlete.
I have questions...If you have any questions, please email Curtis Nelson. An email asking questions does NOT in any way commit you to anything.
Youth Developmental ProgramAs an up and coming sport, we are planning to start a Youth Developmental Program for Grades 1 through 4 as well. Lacrosse is a fast-action sport with some limited contact, especially limited at the youth levels. We are trying to structure this program so that kids can be involved in other spring activities - like baseball or soccer - at the same time. The Developmental Program will be two days a week, for a total of 2-3 hours. Games will be very controlled and structured. Details of the plans are available online.
Here We Grow Again!!!We are busy preparing for the upcoming spring 2009 season. Plans are in place to expand the program all over again. We believe we will have teams at the following levels:
It is within reason that we could end up with well over 100 kids playing lacrosse this spring in Canby! Online registration will be available soon. More details (costs, timing, etc) are available via the powerpoint presentations from the Information Nights on November 19 (HS Level) and November 20 (Youth Level).
We're Going to Start a Girls Youth Team...Last spring, four girls from Canby joined the Wilsonville team and began the seeds of our Canby girls lacrosse program. This spring, we are renewing our efforts to start our own girls team in Canby. It takes a minimum of 16 girls to form a team and we believe are about half-way to that number already. For more information, contact Tom O'Connor (tomo@canby.com or 503-263-6789).

Prices are: Gear can be ordered by emailing Curt Nelson with sizing information. Gear takes about 2 to 3 weeks to be received. No gear will be ordered until payment has been received. There is NO requirement to get your gear through us. If you prefer to get your own gear, that is fine. There may also be gear available from older players who have outgrown their stuff. Looking for SponsorsAre you interested in sponsoring our program? We have an exciting thing going already. However, as a startup program, there are lots of expenses. We have covered the "core" costs already, but we need more help. We want to acquire practice jerseys, extra sticks, more balls, and practice goals/targets. We would also like to attend an overnight tournament in some other area of the state. And, we would like to get a "team pride" item - something like a gear bag, a nice jacket, or sweats for everyone. We already have some sponsors and are incredibly grateful for their generosity. If you would like to sponsor our team, please visit our sponsors page.
