POP3/IMAP Settings

POP3 vs IMAP:
When setting up on an email client program there are a few different ways of communicating with the mail server. The two major ways to do this are called POP3 (Post Office Protocol) and IMAP (Internet message access protocol). The main difference between these types is that POP3 downloads your email to your local computer and IMAP only gives you a "window" to view and edit messages that are currently stored on the server. Generally with Web-ster webmail we recommend using POP3 as it allows you to store emails on your computer.

These are the general server settings when setting up email as a POP or IMAP account.
